Train Simulator: Class 455 EMU Add-On Key

Updated: Mar 14, 2020

About This Content The Class 455 EMU is typical of the new generation of multiple units introduced in the 1980s to replace aging and out-dated ‘heritage’ units. Designed for use on Southern branch-line and suburban services with numerous stops and little need for high top speeds, the Class 455 runs in 4-car formations up to a maximum speed of 75mph, and remains a familiar sight around South London and all along the Southern network. A total of 137 Class 455 sets were produced, and with regular refurbishments taking place the type is still playing its part to keep Southern England moving. The Class 455 for RailWorks 2, developed by Thomson Interactive, includes 3 liveries, accurately reproduced drivers cab and controls including functional DRA (Drivers Reminder Appliance), independent wiper selection, functional glare screen visor and opening cab windows (animated in-cab and external view), and all-new sounds recorded from a real Class 455.IncludesClass 455 4-car train (DTSO/MSO/TSO vehicles)British Rail Blue & GreyNetwork SoutheastSouth West Trains4 ScenariosGuildford BoundSunday ShuttleEnd of ShiftPushing the BoundaryPLEASE NOTE: The Portsmouth Direct Line Expansion Pack is required to play the scenarios included with the Class 455. b4d347fde0 Title: Train Simulator: Class 455 EMU Add-OnGenre: SimulationDeveloper:Thomson InteractivePublisher:Dovetail Games - TrainsFranchise:Train SimulatorRelease Date: 28 Jul, 2011 Train Simulator: Class 455 EMU Add-On Key train simulator southern class 455/8 emu add-on. train simulator southern class 455/8 emu add-on I say 9\/10Looks good and is a very functional trainInformation:Max speed: 75 mphCars: 4 or 8. Good looking and drives\/brakes well. The downside is, like much of DTG purchases it lacks some details that one would expect as basic, e.g. Cab Lighting, signal\/start buzzer and passenger views; also, it's disappointing that it cannot be used in Quick Drive mode.Having bought quite a number of Routes and Add-ons over the last 18 months or so, I am now going to have a general moan. I have to say with the large majority of my acquired products I always feel let down and disappointed and end up witha sense of having been sold short. Usually because of a lack of attention to detail; work being rushed and unfinished; a minor glitch or oversight by the DTG Product designers and Technicians - and a feeling that they're not really bothered or are reluctant to repair or amend these errors. Judging by the tone of other correspondents I am not alone in thinking this! Microsoft Train Simulator from the very start always allowed more freedom of play than currently enabled by DTG TS: there was no restriction on routes, locos or points control - in whatever scenario - and errors were quickly rectified by patches. It is very sad that, given the huge improvement in graphics and technical resources over the last few years, Dovetail is unable(?) to provide this (BASIC) facility of what I call total freedom (OF CHOICE). Don't get me wrong, DTG TS designs and dispenses some excellent, outstanding merchandise, but more often than not, it is the silly, unnecessary mistakes and glaring omissions that "spoils the ship"! It is in danger of becoming great in quantity rather than quality!Personally, I would be very happy if DTG only concentrated on providing accurate, well-detailed Routes and Locos ( with comprehensive controlable handles. levers, buttons and switches in cabs!)and dispensed with Standard and Career scenarios - which in the main seem to be pretty facile - thus allowing one to structure and manage one's own itinerary and timetable.. FREEROAM of choice!!!Is is too much to ask for? It should not be too much to expect...!. This train is okay, comes with many liveries but it shows it age and some stuff is realy bad about it.. its old and looks like a 313 but heres a secretit has the best horn. Cannot play the red southwest train?? any help please. Pre AP SP:Nice little EMU for the PDL. My only complaint for this one is the sounds. But alteast when I buy the AP soundpack it will sound better.Post AP SP:above review still stands, sounds are better, although there's not much you can do with this scenario wise...14\/17. can not find it in my train libry. Cool train, Quick braking, brake sounds, nice door sounds, the horn, shame it doesn't come on quick drive scenarios
